ORIGINÁRIA · RESEARCH REGISTER

Documented social projects.

Originária has carried out an extensive, but not exhaustive, review of available information on social initiatives in Rio de Janeiro, Niterói, São Gonçalo, Duque de Caxias, Nova Iguaçu, Itaguaí and Seropédica. Formal and informal. Past and present.

To make change as an incubator, we first need to know who is already here. If we do not know who exists, how can we help?

Most entries have not yet been reviewed. Checking who is here, understanding their work and keeping this record current will be an ongoing task. But it is a start.

Existem. Persistem. Resistem.

HOW TO READ THIS REGISTER

Evidence, with its limits.

All in-scope IPEA registration records are included alongside researched community initiatives. Matching CNPJs are linked once. Branches keep their own registrations, so the entry count is not a count of distinct organisations or projects.

Awaiting further documentation

These entries already have a documented administrative registration. Their social purpose, contacts, activities and present operations still need research. The label describes the documentation stage, not the value or legitimacy of the organisation.

“Researched records” have additional sources reviewed. This does not mean every field or current operation has been independently confirmed. Both documentation stages are visible by default.

Existence, activity and registration

A source may document existence without confirming present operations. A CNPJ records legal identity; it does not prove current activity. “CNPJ not documented” means research is incomplete, not that the initiative has none.

Recent activity requires a dated account of completed activity within the 12 months preceding this snapshot. An announcement alone does not meet that label. Historical evidence does not mean closed.

Dates, achievements and uncertainty

A reported founding year is shown separately from the earliest evidence located. Activity dates retain their original precision. Announcements, reported completed activities and historical records are labelled separately. Descriptions summarise cited sources; outcomes have not been independently audited.

Formal and informal initiatives

There is no CNPJ, funding or website requirement for inclusion. Collectives, individual-led initiatives, community networks and historical projects can enter the register. Public institutional contacts are included when located; personal phone numbers, beneficiary details and home addresses are excluded.

Research coverage and next steps

Loading municipality coverage…

Community referrals, direct confirmation, neighbourhood searches, archives and oral histories remain part of the work ahead. Informal initiatives without registration are included when found; many remain to be documented.

The IPEA snapshot includes religious bodies, professional associations, branches and closed or suspended registrations. Registration alone does not establish a social programme or current operation. View the IPEA source ↗
